*** - Author, Donald Hamilton begins his provocative book by saying, Mankind's ability to imagine the existence of its creator is its very soul. Without an imagination, the soul of man would not exist. It is a special link with our creator. It is "Our Special Gift". So starts "The Mind of Mankind" which this reviewer finds to be an excellent and insightful work about who we were, who we are and who we can be.

Before Humankind was gifted with imagination there was no curiousity, awareness or creativity. Nor was there an appreciation of beauty or the possibility of language and the abitlity to write and record history. Indeed, before imagination (perhaps 40,000 years ago), the world was a different and surely lesser place, as humankind had no control over its destiny...nor any connection to God.

"The Mind of Mankind" explores the wonder of focus, the unique ability of the mind which enables us to form a mental image and "see".  Mr Hamilton discusses current theories as well as mysteries and introduces new ones from his fertile imagination for us to ponder, consider, accept or reject. But most of all, "The Mind of Mankind" details how our unique ability, our mind and its ability to imagine, has allowed us to help ourselves discover enablement and enlightenment.
